Areas of Activity:
Duties include assisting in performing a variety of sea lice research projects with the primary focus on laboratory-based sea lice bioassays. Field-based sea lice monitoring (to develop innovative sea-lice management strategy and controls to assist the salmon-aquaculture industry), data collection, sampling at hatcheries, sea cage sites and temporary sampling stations set up in processing plants, etc. Sampling of fish using aseptic techniques, health assessments, electronic data entry, and other sampling procedures are performed as required for studies.
